Bourn-Running is a new initiative working in partnership with the Pavilion Christian Community that provides opportunities for people to improve their physical fitness and sense of well-being through running.
Bourn-Running currently offers 3 free sessions on a Wednesday morning. These are:
Couch to 5k
For beginners with little or no experience of running and who want to improve their overall fitness levels.
Couch to 2k
A gentler introduction to running than the Couch to 5K that is aimed at complete beginners with no experience of running and who want to start getting more active.
An intensive session aimed at increasing current fitness. Ideal for people who have just completed the Couch to 5K course.
The next sessions will commence in the new year on 10th January 2018 from 9.30am.

Run – Revive – Thrive
At the heart of Bourn-Running is the aim to make running an enjoyable experience that can offer the potential to transform peoples’ lives both physically and mentally. Any time and space that is devoted to a physical activity like running can improve health and physical fitness, as well as improving mood and self-confidence. It is hoped that the courses on offer will leave people thriving, not just surviving!
Bourn-Running Leader Profile
Alison Davies is a qualified Leader in Running Fitness (LiRF) through the England Athletics Association. She has been a keen road runner for several years, and is a member of the Bournville Harriers. She has assisted with their beginners’ course and currently volunteers for their Run and Talk sessions in Cannon Hill Park on Saturday mornings. She has two daughters, two guinea pigs, and she doubts that you can ever own enough trainers…
