Doug Sembuuze
I am married to Hannah and we have three kids. For a few years we lived in Albania as mission workers before I became Team Leader of a mission training college in Birmingham. I support Villa and enjoy a good curry night out!

I was born and raised in Kampala, Uganda. I moved to the UK in 2007 and during the first few years in England, I was a Youth Worker in the Liverpool and Knowsley area of Merseyside. I moved to Birmingham in 2012. I am married to the competitive and adventurous Bex and we have two boys. I enjoy playing music and taking part in competitive sports. I support Arsenal and my favourite sports are Basketball and Table Tennis.

Church Children's Worker
Lynn Braden

I was born and raised in Ohio, USA, and have lived in the UK since 2014. Along with doing the children's work at church, I also co-lead a year 7-9 youth group and work in the community cafe at Rowheath. Since I’m American, it means that I have a funny accent, but please don’t hold that against me! I love sunny days, caramel lattes and good hugs.

I spent 10 years working in a bank before feeling the calling to mission. In 2004 I started Syzygy Missions Support Network, which cares for and supports mission workers. I love cricket and skiing.   My wife Hannah and I have lived in Bournville since 2000, and our two girls have grown up here. I was born and brought up in Newcastle, and came to Birmingham for my work in the mid-90s. I work in the town centre as a solicitor, and when not doing lawyer and family stuff, I like to listen to and play music, tackle my jungle of a garden, and follow the highs and (more often) lows of Newcastle United. It's also been my privilege to serve as a trustee of Birmingham City Mission over the last few years.

Lynda Robinson

Martin Robinson
I have been involved with PCC since the beginning where six of us met in our home way back in 1982 and as part of the leadership team since 2000. I have been married to Martin for over forty years and we have three adult children and four wonderful grandchildren. I grew up in Bournville Lane where my parents still live. I am now enjoying semi retirement working part time for ForMission College. I love to travel and my favourite place to be is France in the sun.

I am married to Lynda and we have lived in Bournville for more than thirty years. We have three grown-up children and now our grandchildren live nearby. I lead a college that helps to equip people for leadership. Alongside that role I love to write books and have the opportunity to travel and speak in various countries around the world.

Karen Urwin
I have been an English teacher in secondary school since 1993. Before that I worked with people with learning disabilities. I particularly enjoy the writings of C. S. Lewis: my favourite is The Silver Chair. I grew up by the sea and love to walk the Dorset Downs.

I have been a member of Rowheath Pavilion Church since 2009. I was ordained in 2010 and I live in Kings Norton with two housemates and my dog. I love travelling, crafts, and early morning walks.

I am married with three children (although I may not look old enough!). I have lived in Birmingham all my life doing youth work across the city.I have been a member of the church since 2009 and currently work at Rowheath Pavilion. I'm passionate about seeing churches proactively engage with their communities through mission, Christian businesses, and charity work.   Born in Birmingham, I studied Japanese and have worked mainly in the engineering and software industries. Life has been a great adventure since Jesus came into my life when I was eighteen, and I love exploring  the meaning of life with the people who come on Alpha. I enjoy walking in the mountains.

Rachel Renfrew

Global Mission
Hannah Hitchin
Apart from three years in Durham, I spent all my life in Sutton Coldfield until 2010 when I crossed the city to South Birmingham to be part of the Pavilion Community, having worked for ForMission and Rowheath Pavilion for the previous three years. I am now a trustee of Rowheath as well as coordinating the finance for both the bar, café and charity. I have specialised in charity finance for many years and continue to be involved with many different organisations. I have three grown up children and two grandchildren.

After growing up in Fleet, Hampshire, I spent a year serving with BMS World Mission on a Thailand Action Team in 2010, then studied Theology at Exeter University. I moved up to Brum in 2014 to serve as a Church Ministry Intern here at the Pav, and now I’m working as a Mission Mobiliser for Serving In Mission, UK. I love my job – working with those exploring a call to mission, supporting them from enquiry through to debrief, and partnering with Churches to send and receive equipped gospel workers to share the good news of Jesus. I love adventuring outdoors, being creative, and anything elephant related.
